This week we’re speaking with Dr. Carrie Ruxton who’s been a registered dietitian for nearly 30 years. She completed a Ph.D. in child nutrition before working as an academic, industry nutritionist and hospital dietitian. We chatted at some of the main challenges facing parents and children about installing a healthy diet, dealing with fussy eaters and the traditional aversion to vegetables. She also provided tips on how to survive the supermarket trip and we discussed if it is right to use food as a reward or a reprimand.

To mark this special milestone of the Podcast, the tables have been turned and it’s now Scott’s turn to sit in the guest’s chair.

In this extremely insightful episode, Scott’s friend Gordon Greenhorn (who appeared on episode 68 of the podcast) interviews him about his fitness journey so far. You’ll hear why too much ice cream motivated Scott to start lifting in the first place, the wackiest thing he’s done to build muscle and lose fat and what competing as a natural bodybuilder and dieting for fitness cover shoots taught him about fat loss.

You’ll learn why he’s so motivated to stop others making the mistakes he made when he started out, why he almost passed out at a wedding because of ridiculous diet and he reveals some unexpected truths about his own diet too.

Gordon and Scott finish by chatting about the best he’s made investment in helping him become a better coach (and it’s not financial) and you’ll learn the most important lessons that Scott has been taught from working with is own clients and how his approach to training, nutrition and coaching has evolved over the years.
